About Jessica

Jessica is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to the capital region in 2013, fresh out of college. Five days after moving here, she found a job as a baker at a gourmet market in Saratoga Springs, where she ended up working for 2 years. Jess stumbled upon a career in health information and is a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). She currently works for the New York State Cancer Registry where she enjoys coding and tracking cancer cases to aide in research.

Jess lives outside of Albany with her husband Michael and their three cats: Yogi, Bruce, and Calvin. Mike and Jess married in 2017 after meeting at a church in Saratoga Springs. They have been at Engage since the very beginning living room meetings in 2018.

What’s your favorite thing about Engage Albany?

Jessica’s favorite thing about Engage is watching the community in action, a true testament of the Lord’s faithfulness. Seeing people fellowship at and outside of service is an answer to prayer! She loves walking in and seeing how far the Lord has brought Engage.

What are your hobbies?

Jess loves completing jigsaw puzzles, spending time with her husband and working tirelessly to pet all cats, both here and abroad.

Favorite Book?

Jess enjoys reading, but has found that her favorite books change overtime. Recently she has been enjoying the Inspector Gamache series by Louise Penny. She also enjoys nonfiction and memoirs.

What Is Your Claim To Fame?

In elementary school, Jessica was the top selling student for a fundraiser (literally going door-to-door) and was a finalist to go to Disney World. More importantly, she won a boom box with two cassette players.
