Until we’re able to meet again in person with all of the necessary pieces for public worship gatherings, I thought I’d experiment with putting together a “digital order of worship.” Think of this as your one stop shop for Sunday morning worship during COVID-19.
Call to worship (Scripture to set a tone for worshipping the Lord):
Psalm 1:1-3
How happy is the one who does not
walk in the advice of the wicked
or stand in the pathway with sinners
or sit in the company of mockers!
2 Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction,
and he meditates on it day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted beside flowing streams
that bears its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
Worship in song:
Holy, Holy, Holy (guest leader: Andrew Boozer)
Is He Worthy? (guest leaders: Suzanne London & Alex Gailey)
God’s Word Proclaimed:
It’s Better To Live On Your Knees Than Die On Your Feet
(Ephesians 3:14-21)
Song of response:
The Love Of God (Ascend the Hill)
Worship through giving:
Those who call Engage home are encouraged to worship through giving. To read more about what we believe about giving or to submit an offering click HERE.
(also available on Venmo: @EngageAlbany)
Some others to consider that fit today’s theme:
Solid Rock (Austin Stone)
Lord I Need You (Matt Maher)
Please join us at 11am via Zoom for fellowship, prayer, and discussion.
Benediction (a word of closing blessing):
It seemed a fitting closing to repeat the words Paul closed his prayer with:
Ephesians 3:20-21
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
NOTE: the limitations and pieces of this service that are missing will serve to stoke our desires to be in person again as soon as it is safe and prudent to do so.
