The observance of Ash Wednesday may or may not be something you’re acquainted with depending on your background. Some may even question whether it can even be observed apart from a strict Roman Catholic faith. While we’re not Roman Catholics, and the tradition itself is not found in Scripture, we believe its observance can help us reorient ourselves appropriately to mark the 40 day journey to Resurrection Sunday. For resurrection is only possible on the other side of death. So join us THIS WEDNESDAY on ZOOM @ 7am for a short time of:
- Prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
- Confession (James 5:16)
- Lament (Luke 23:27)
And the reminder that “all come from dust, and all return to dust” (Ecclesiastes 3:20). But more importantly that Jesus “who did not know sin [became] sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
