Call To Worship

(Scripture to set a tone for worshipping the Lord)

The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in faithful love.
He will not always accuse us
or be angry forever.
He has not dealt with us as our sins deserve
or repaid us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his faithful love
toward those who fear him.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed
our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
For he knows what we are made of,
remembering that we are dust.

-Psalm 103:8-14

The Reading Of God’s Word

Hebrews 4:14-16 (Sean Nolan)

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens—Jesus the Son of God—let us hold fast to our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. 16 Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.

Worship Through Giving:

Those who call Engage home are encouraged to worship through giving. In order to ensure minimal contact, those giving by cash or check are encouraged to drop in the collection box near the info table. To read more about what we believe about giving or to submit an offering online click HERE.

Benediction

(Closing words from Scripture)

For he is not a man like me, that I can answer him,
that we can take each other to court.
There is no mediator between us,
to lay his hand on both of us.
Let him take his rod away from me
so his terror will no longer frighten me.
Then I would speak and not fear him.
But that is not the case; I am on my own.

-Job 9:32-35
