Meals with Messiah

Heavenly Hospitality From The Gospels

It’s been over five years since Jesus first started moving amongst us to see His Church built at Engage Albany. From day one we’ve put a high value on a simple–yet otherworldly–concept: if Christians open up their homes and tables to their neighbors it creates a ripe environment for people to meet Jesus. This simple act of hospitality is a radical notion in our world. Not surprisingly, you see it often in the ministry of Jesus as well.

Did you know the ratio of feasting to fasting in Scripture is 7:1!

Did you know that Jesus came eating and drinking and this concept is scandalous!

In June and July we’ll be spending a few months in the Gospels exploring this concept: simple hospitality and table fellowship in the life of Jesus. What would you say to Him if He was at your table? What will you say when He welcomes you to His table? Pull up a chair, we’re in the presence of a King, and yet, we are welcome:
